Car Service

Regular maintenance of your vehicle, either every 10,000 km or every 6 months, contributes can save you money in terms of both fuel expenses and repair bills. This proactive approach can make all the difference, transforming what could be a major breakdown into a simple, minor repair.

Tyres

Your family’s safety demands the best when it comes to selecting car tyres for your vehicle. The Mechanics are experts when it comes to selecting the right tyres, and we apply that expertise to guarantee optimal tyre safety.

Brakes

If your brakes are squealing, pulling the vehicle to one side or making your steering wheel shake, then it’s time to take advantage of our brake repair & brake pad services. Brakes can degrade slowly due to simple wear and tear, which can make it difficult for vehicle owners to see the changes. We can test your braking system and make any repairs necessary. Brake hoses and fluid can also be checked and replaced if necessary.

Radiator Repairs

A radiator is vital to the health of your engine; ensuring that it does not overheat and maintains an optimum operating temperature. A radiator cools the liquid that in turns cools your engine, thereby maintaining the correct operating temperature. The Mechanics offer a full range of radiator and cooling system repairs and services.

Cambelt / Timing Belt

A cambelt/timing belt is situated in the front or side of your engine behind the plastic cambelt covers. This belt has been designed to be replaced generally every five years or 100,000kms. Failure of this belt can result in expensive engine repairs.

Warrant of Fitness

If our WOF inspectors find any issues with your vehicle, the repair work can be completed onsite quickly and efficiently. Your vehicle will then be re-inspected and a WOF issued.

Oil Change

You should have an oil change regularly; regardless of how many kilometres the vehicle has driven. If a vehicle is not used much, the oil in the engine still needs to be flushed and replaced. Old oil can degrade an engine, even when the vehicle is sitting in the garage.

Automatic Transmission Servicing

Automatic transmissions need flushing & servicing every 40,000kms. Automatic transmissions typically fail due to internally overheating. This is usually a direct result of poor maintenance.

Alternator

Your alternator is responsible for turning your car’s mechanical energy into electrical current. In more modern vehicles, alternator problems can be indicated by a warning light on the dashboard that will automatically come on once the electrical output of the alternator drops below a certain level.

CV Joints

All front-wheel drive cars have Constant Velocity joints, or CV joints, on both ends of the drive shafts (half shafts). Inner CV joints connect the drive shafts to the transmission, while the outer CV joints connect the drive shafts to the drive wheels. Many rear and four-wheel drive cars and trucks also have CV joints.

Wheel Alignment

Having the correct wheel alignment is important when it comes to the safety and the lifespan of your tyres, and even your vehicle’s fuel efficiency. Wheel alignment can change by simply hitting a pothole, having faulty suspension or any number of other reasons.

Battery Stockist

The Mechanics is an authorised Endurant Car Battery stockist and also sell batteries for motorbikes, lawnmowers and more. Our trained technicians can happily help you in deciding which battery is right for you.

Suspension, Shocks & Steering

The Mechanics offer a complete range of suspension, shock absorber and steering services. Suspension keep tyres in contact with the road surface, and eliminates road shock. Shock absorbers are a key part of the suspension system.

Exhaust & Mufflers

A clean car exhaust and muffler system is a sign that your vehicle is running well. If your car exhaust seems loud or dirty, it’s best to get it checked out. The Mechanics can inspect your exhaust system in as little as 10 minutes, and exhaust inspections are included in all vehicle services.

Clutch

The Mechanics provide clutch service or repair depending on your vehicle’s requirements. Clutch Service – this involves checking the free play (adjustment) in the clutch cable and adjusting if necessary, checking the clutch fluid (hydraulic system) and road testing vehicle.
